Our Technique
Ballet
The ballet curriculum is based upon the Vaganova Syllabus developed in Russia. Created in the 1940's by Agripina Vaganova, a Russian Prima Ballerina and noted teacher, the Vaganova Syllabus is responsible for producing some of the greatest dancers of all time. It is a beautifully designed progressive approach to developing dancers. Each year carefully builds upon the material of the one before, thereby developing dancers who are strong technically and musically.
Modern Dance
The modern dance curriculum combines several great modern dance techniques to produce a progression of technique that is both successful and very engaging for the dancers.
Creative Movement
Creative Movement for very young children, ages 4-6 years, develops a sense of musicality, coordination and fitness. Children explore the use of the body as an instrument of expression and creativity.
Folk Dance
Learn traditional and modern circle and line dances (no partners or dance experience required) from the Balkans, Mediterranean, Middle East, Eastern and Western Europe. Great exercise, and a great introduction to the music and dance traditions of other cultures.
Pilates
A contemporary approach to the mind-body exercise method pioneered by Joseph Pilates. It is one of the safest and most effective exercise methods available. The perfect complement to cardiovascular exercise, athletic training or rehabilitation. Pilates will leave you looking toned, feeling revitalized and moving with ease.
